Shipping internationally might sound tricky, but we’re here to make it simple. Here’s what you need to know about customs duties and VAT when you send parcels through Quiqup.
Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU)
We exclusively use DDU, which means the person receiving the package covers any customs or duty charges. These fees are collected by the destination country’s customs office.
What Affects Customs & Duties?
- Invoice value: All the product prices you declare add up to show how much your shipment is worth.
- HS Codes: These codes identify the type of product you’re shipping. Different products can have different duty rates, so it’s super important to use the right codes.
Duty Charges Vary
Since every country has its own rules, we can’t provide every detail of what you might pay. If you’re unsure, check official sources or do a quick online search for duty rates in the destination country. This extra step can save you—and your customers—some surprises later on.
