How QA/QC Works
Automatic process: When returns arrive at our fulfillment center, our team conducts quality control inspection based on your requirements detailed during onboarding. They are only sent back to inventory once QA/QC has been confirmed by our teams.
Inspection includes:
- Physical condition assessment
- Original packaging verification
- Product completeness check
- Barcode matching and verification
- Photo documentation when required
Results classification:
- Pass QA/QC: Item is suitable for restocking
- Fail QA/QC: Item will be sent back to your facility, or disposal can be arranged through third party providers
Return Procedure Details
Your account settings determine the level of inspection and communication you receive:
Comprehensive Return Procedure
When this applies: Your account is set to "Comprehensive" return procedure in our system, this is to be detailed at the time of contract signing and onboarding and incurs additional charges.
What happens:
- Our team takes detailed photos of all returned items
- You receive an approval email for every return shipment

- The link includes photos and detailed condition assessment. You can change our assessment by clicking the "Edit QA/QC button"

- Your approval is required within 48 hrs (or will be automatically approved) before any restocking or disposal

Standard Return Procedure
When this applies: Your account has standard or no specific return procedure set
What happens:
- All items pass QA/QC: You receive an FYI email summary only

- Some items fail QA/QC: You receive photos and approval email for failed items. Your approval is required within 48 hrs (or will be automatically approved) before any restocking or disposal (see previous process)
- Passed items are automatically restocked

Automatic Processing After 48 Hours
If you don't respond within 48 hours:
- Items that passed QA/QC are automatically restocked
- Items that failed QA/QC are disposed of
- You receive a final summary email of actions taken
- No further changes can be made to the return
Best practice: Review and respond to return emails within 24 hours to maintain full control over your inventory decisions
