Packaging and Labelling

Goal: Protect your products and enable efficient receiving at our warehouse

Box Preparation Requirements

Essential steps:

  • Protect products adequately: Use appropriate cushioning and protection
  • Seal all boxes completely: Ensure boxes are securely closed before shipping
  • Fill empty space: Use recyclable packing material to prevent movement within boxes
  • Label each box: Use alphanumeric characters for easy identification by our receiving team

SKU Organization

Best practice: Keep each SKU contained within a single box. While you can mix different SKUs in one box, don't split the same SKU across multiple boxes.

Why this matters:

  • Faster receiving and processing
  • Reduced errors during inventory counting
  • More efficient put-away process
  • Easier tracking if discrepancies occur

Weight and Safety Requirements

RequirementSpecificationSafety Notes
Maximum box weight20kg per boxClearly label boxes exceeding 15kg to prevent lifting injuries
Heavy item labelingMust be visible on top and sidesUse "HEAVY" labels or clear weight markings
Box integrityNo damaged or weak boxesReplace damaged packaging before shipping

⚠️ Critical: Boxes exceeding 20kg must be clearly labeled to prevent injuries during lifting and handling.

Product Barcoding

Requirement: Each product must be barcoded and referenced in your e-commerce platform

Option 1: Pre-Barcoded Products

What you do:

  • Ensure each product has a readable barcode (EAN/UPC)
  • Verify barcode is referenced correctly in your e-commerce platform
  • Test barcode scanning before shipping (recommended)

Benefits:

  • Faster receiving process
  • No additional barcoding fees
  • Reduced processing time

Option 2: Barcoding During Receiving

What you provide in each box:

  • Clear product description for each item
  • High-quality photo of each product
  • Corresponding SKU/barcode reference for our team
  • Detailed instructions for any special requirements

Additional costs:

  • Barcoding service fees apply
  • Extended processing time
  • Additional quality control steps

Required Documentation

Timeline: All documents must be submitted 48 hours prior to shipment arrival

How to submit: Send documents as a reply to the calendar invite after booking your inbound slot
