WooCommerce: International delivery rates and zones

Modified on Fri, 31 Oct at 12:37 PM

Setting up your shipping zones and rates in WooCommerce ensures your delivery options appear correctly at checkout and can be mapped to Quiqup delivery services in your Quiqdash integration.

Why this matters: Quiqup reads your WooCommerce shipping methods and matches them to its delivery services (Same Day, Next Day, Export, etc.). Clear setup here means your orders route correctly.

Step 1 — Open Shipping settings

  1. In your WordPress Admin, go to WooCommerce → Settings.
  2. Click the Shipping tab, then click Add shipping zone.
  3. If you don’t see the Shipping tab, make sure the WooCommerce plugin is installed and active.

Step 2 — Create a shipping zone

  1. Enter a clear Zone name— for example:
    • UAE Domestic
    • GCC Countries
    • Rest of World
  2. Choose the Zone regions (countries or regions this zone applies to).
  3. Click Add shipping method to define how you’ll charge customers in this zone.

Tip: Use one zone per region with distinct delivery timelines (e.g., UAE for Same Day/Next Day, GCC for International). This helps you map shipping rates to the right Quiqup service later.

Step 3 — Add a shipping method

  1. From the popup, select the shipping method you want to offer (usually Flat rate).
  2. Click Add shipping method to confirm.
Choose shipping method (e.g., Flat rate) and add Screenshot: Choose shipping method and add
Common setup: Use Flat rate for fixed delivery costs or leave it at “0” if delivery is free but handled by Quiqup (e.g., “Free Next Day Delivery”).

Step 4 — Set the rate and save

  1. Click the method you just added (e.g., Flat rate) to edit it.
  2. Enter the Cost you want to charge customers (this can be fixed or variable).
  3. Click Save changes to confirm.

Important: Use unique namesfor each shipping method — for example:
  • Same Day
  • Next Day
  • UAE Standard
  • GCC Express
These names appear inside Quiqdash → Integrations → WooCommerce → Settings and are used to map orders to the correct Quiqup delivery service.

Step 5 — Test and map to Quiqup

  1. Once you’ve saved your shipping rates, go to Quiqdash → Integrations → WooCommerce → Settings.
  2. In the Delivery Method Mapping section, link each WooCommerce method name (e.g., “Next Day”) to the matching Quiqup delivery service.
  3. Click Save Settings in Quiqdash to complete the mapping.
Pro tip: After mapping, place a small test order using each shipping method to verify that the order appears correctly in Quiqdash with the right service type.

Troubleshooting

  • Shipping tab missing? Recheck that WooCommerce is activated under Plugins → Installed Plugins.
  • Rates not showing at checkout? Ensure your customer’s shipping address falls inside the defined zone.
  • Quiqup not picking up new orders? Confirm your shipping method names match exactly with those mapped in Quiqdash.
